The Journey to My Calling
My path to becoming an end-of-life doula has been anything but linear, but it has always been guided by a deep desire to care for others. I began my journey in Culinary Arts before dedicating 20 years to a thriving career as a massage therapist and Reiki master. During those 20 years, I ran my own practice, treated high-profile artists around the world, and quietly dipped my toes in hospice work. This is where I learned the profound language of intuitive physical and emotional comfort.
When my body signaled it was time to step away from full-time massage, I earned an HR degree while successfully launching a food blog, Scholarly Bite. Yet, I was called back to hands-on care as the caregiver for both my parents during their terminal illnesses-first my mother, and years later, as an only child, moving towns to care for my dad. As I was in those tender, lonely spaces, I discovered my truth: I am naturally gifted at anchoring the storms of death and grief.
Having walked through the exhaustion of crisis and my own recent recovery from surgeries, I know firsthand what it feels like to need a safe space.
Today, I combine my passions- being a chef, 20 years of energy and body work, and my lived experience navigating loss to create this heart-centered practice that will shield your family’s space, advocate for your family, and give you the safety to breathe.
